ready, aim...

LASERTAG. A friend of our invited us to do play some laser tag at UVU one night last week. OH THE INTESITY. We played at night in their courtyard and just had the time of our lives. We might have even made a couple of new UVU Friends during our adventure :)

cream cones & minesweeper.

Today was a solid 12 hour day on campus. My favorite. Especially considering it involved a little treaty-treat & giggles with my favorites.
Also, crossed off my last research paper of the semester tonight. VICTORY!
A stranger took this picture and gave me strange look afterwards...probably because my camera settings had it turn out like this. Picture of the day goes to the fish eye picture!
Cream cones from sugar and spice hit the spot today & gave me a little push to finish up at the great old place, Harold B. Lee library. Working hard is hard. But so fulfilling! Who woulda thunk?
(those are the pants that I semi fixed...yes!)
One of these things is not where it belongs...
This thing being Starlee in a MOLECULAR BIOLOGY CLASS. I felt like people saw right through my attempt into my truly Recreation Managment loving soul & heart. Hollie looks oh so pleased in a class for her major, eh. Oh well, right. I had a produtctive hour and a half doing homework from other classes!
I promised Hollie at the beginning of the year I would go with her to this class & so I did today. All I got out of it was hearing the words "double helix" and "U2" (not the band ;]). Also, embarrassing moment of the day...I thought I was in Microbiology. I was not in Microbiology. I annouced this to a friend of our that WE jsut came from MICROBIOLOGY CLASS. Hollie laughed proving I had no clue what I was even talking about. I thoroughly enjoyed myself!
MINESWEEPER MOMENT. <3
In other news, I finally was taught the correct way to play minesweeper the other day. I am proud to say that yes, this knowledge has changed my life. Knowing the purpose of the game makes it really, a blast & a half. All my life I thought the purpose of the game was to just click thw squares and hopefully get lucky and not hit a bomb. Little did I know, it could be/was the funnest game ever. Also in settings, you can change the bombs to be daisies...CONSIDER IT DONE!
anywaysss....Greatnight time.
sincerely,
Smiling & Exauhsted Student Girl.

I believe I can fly.

That's what my hair is telling me today anyways.

(also, check out the length on that curled pony tail, eh?)

...And with that inspiration I can do anything right?! A goal has been set in Lexington 23...six packs by june?!?!? We shall see...I believe! Flying is much different than getting a six pack though.... This will be the upmost of challenging tasks, I tell ya. P90X Ab Ripper X will guide the way for now...Tony won't lead us astray, right?

It is important to always have a plan B... And don't you fret I sure do! If all else fails and we get to June with no success I will be coasting in to seven peaks with this little guys under my suit. It looks quite effective! I am all about it!(Pintrest Special)

Even though today was again sunshine-less I have GREAT feelings about it returning to us tomorrow. Love you long time mr. Sunshine!

Also in great news, I made some summertime renovations to a pair of pink shorts(originally Jcrew...3 dolla from D.I. for me :]) and an old pair of jeans... To be posted about later.

In the mean time I am just goin to continue letting my hair take me to great heights. :)

Viva Lasss.

roaddddddd trippppppppp surprisee.
(ins't the middle picture insane!?)
HOME SWEET HOME.
I am home this weekend & surprised my daddiooo in the process! He was so shocked when I walked in the door I thought that he was going to have a heartattack. It has been fun to just spend time with my family at home. Even though everything changes when you leave for college, when you come back one thing is always the same & the greatest...FAMILY.
I will always love Las Vegas. The second that I get into the city the windows are rolled down and the music is turned up just a little bit louder! I have really missed the lower altitude, the temperature and, the people. There is one thing I don't miss from Vegas... all of the dogs bark like crazy as you run by. They made me jump a couple of times on my run today! In any case, I love being home so much! THE BESTEST!
I am so happy I was able to come home for my own little spring break, for the weekend, & spend some time with some of my favorite people in the world.

Love of my Life

Ahhhhh... sweet Kneaders breakfast sandwiches the morning after cleaning checks.
We live through cleaning checks to make it to the next morning for our newly traditional Kneaders breaky.

Just rolled out of bed, ready to take on the world- Step numero uno being, having a little taste of breakfast heaven.
I don't know what it is about cleaning checks that brings out the procrastinator in us all, but we find ourselves everytime all together cleaning until the weeeeee morning hours. We pull out all the stops jammin to music and wearing chemistry goggles to avoid the chemicals...yes we do. We have found that not having to cook breakfast for ourselves in our bleach smelling apartment is the perfect motivator to get us out of be the next morning. The french toast is the big thing at Kneader's which, which none of us have ever gotten before. Maybe next month, yeah?!
Also.....Picture of the day.
Sun going down on Utah Valley. Bird Chirping weather and the sun still up at 6:00 at night make me just about happier than anything. Here's to Springy-Spring arriving.
Stay tuned...tommorow is a day of surprises ;]

Cultivating.

This is my cute little forget-me-knot plant that I am again in the attempt to get it to grow. Spring is just around the corner and, I am determined to have a little blossom growing in my apartment! The first time I tried growing it I forgot to water it everyday...EVERYDAY, for like a month. Hence my plant hasn't grown. But it will! SPRING!
Sunday's really are the best days. Today's topic in sacrament was Happiness. I mean who wouldn't love talking about that, right? Some of the things that were said were...
(Its probably bad I don't know the sources for all the quotes, if i did I would cite them :])
  • The Blessed and Happy State of those who keep the commandments.
  • We find an enduring purpose by having faith in Christ.
  • We must learn to work in an extrodinary way.
  • Happinness is the extent and design of our existence.
  • Learn More about the gospel everyday.
  • "Stop Seeking storms & Enjoy the sunlight."

The Speaker (Natalie Grigg, I visit teach her by da way, REPRESENT) also taught us of cultivating an attitude of happiness. The definition of cultivate is to labor and give attention to, to seek the good. I loved the definition of that. Just like my little plant I am trying to grow, we must water ourselves daily. The gospelof Jesus Christ is so real. And it becomes more real as we realise and act upon why we are here everyday and enjoy it. The endeavor towards goodness should be enjoyed! We can be made whole throught the Saviors atonement and eternal love.

" In all living have much fun and laughter. Life is to enjoyed not just endured."

~ President Gordon B. Hinckley

Well the snow came back and paid us a little visit today and Rach and I had a little adventure in it. As we were walking towards the exit of the building we both regrettingly realised A. It was snowing and B. that neither of us had a coat or an umbrella. I spotted some empty boxes and cardboard outside of an office in the hallway and BAM. I knew exactly what we were going to use those for. I handed Rach a box and grabbed a styrafoam sheet. After Rach gave me a confused look , I explainedto her how these were going to be our protective items, we went on our merry way with trash sheilding our heads. We were so proud of our innovation even though the people we passed thought we were total nuts. Which is okay, because we totally are. :]
/p>

We must be humble SEEKERS of happinness.
Here's to becoming the HUMBLE SEEKER.
Happy Sunday!

Eternal Flame.

Eternal Flame of Love that is.
Liberty Square doesn't allow open flame so, our flame of love comes in balloon form. A balloon? Eternal, you might ask? Well yes, eternal it is. Don't ask us what is going on with it because we have noooo idear. My grandma gave me this balloon approximately three days before VALENTINES DAY. IN FEBRUARY. It is now March and our balloon is still floating away in our kitchen. It has become like a pet of sorts, like your goldfish you get from your school carnival that you wake up every morning to see if it is alive and are surprised and delighted to see that it is! Yes, our balloon is still alive and well. Just hangin out, bringin the love.
We might have to place bets on how long it will be alive. Don't worry, I will keep you updated on its life span and the day that it sadly begins to droop towards the ground. It has greatly surpassed my expectations for balloon life, thats for sure.
This is a picture from February of the balloon. It was also featured in my blog post from just yesterday just floating in the background!
What is love? Our Eternal balloon reminding us of it everyday.
ta-ta & happy saturday!

Mint, Chocolate, & Summer Employment.

Today. One of those Fridays where you have no plans and end up doing it all.
Good news came my way today while I was a work that I officially have summer employment... the best kind of summer employment that is. I applied to be a summer sports camp counselor for BYU and found out today that I was accepted! It is one of those experiences in life that I am excited beyond all reason for. When I checked my email it took alot of work to keep my head on straight and my legs from dancing away from me! sheeshoo!
Rach and I decided it was a night to celebrate and a night to use the newest member of our Lexington 23 family...KITCHEN AID. Unofficially/ officially named Martha. We made a trip to D.I. and found some items to begin spring clothing reconstruction projects (featured later). Then onward we went to the grosh and pick up the necessary ingredients for MINT BROWNIES. We may or may not have also picked up so mint chocolate chip ice cream while we were at it. We figured we would keep it St. Patty's inspired in honor of tomorow.
SIDE NOTE: I don't know if Macey's does this to you or just my roomates and I but everytime we enter Macey's in Provo some kind of ice cream purchase is always made.
We also didn't realise the intensity of making mint brownies...but we had a blast and a half doing it! We attempted in our novice cooking skills and they actually turned out sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. GOOD. So GREAT.
THE GOODS. The perfect blend of chocolate and mint. Happy St. Patty's and ice cream consumption ya'll.
Then Hollie-hols got home and it was time to set up the living room like we are five year olds with our mattress in preparation for a well needed movie night. And again we find ourselves in our favorite place: Movie watchin with treats.
The only logical way we could think to cool the brownies was outside....
My favorite picture from the night. The second step of frosting deee brownies.
Also... that heart balloon has been alive and well for over a month.
May we be regretting the late night/early morning ice cream and brownies on our
early morning run? Just maybe... but...
Here's to the happiest of Friday's.
MINT CHOCOLATE & A THUPPER DUPER EXCITED SPORTS CAMP COUNSELOR.
Also, HAPPY ST. PATTY's.

I am proud to announce to you the official

AIN'T THAT THE TRUTH.
This seriously cracked me up this week. I could do nothing but share.
