Semester dos...almost el fin?

I cant barely contain my excitement for summer...and with that I can also barely contain my love for this past semester either! WOWwwwwzerrrssss. I have FAILED this semester at blogging...sheeeshh. Well here goes nothin...readers diggest version, maybe...hehhehe :]

I just can't believe that my freshman year of college is just about over...and it makes me kind of sad. I have learned alot this semester...in my classes, about myself, others, and in the gospel. As of this semester I am OFFICIALLY a Reacreation Management Major and headed down a path that i really am passionate about. I was skeptical of first of the major...I just felt like how far can you go with a major in FUN? I am so grateful I took a couple Reacreation classes this semester and found what I truly love, and am so excited about!! :] I am majoring in the commercial emphasis, and hope to go into event planning, non-profit work, and improving the living standards and perspective of life of people. Recreation is so important, and provides the power of laughing and enjoyment! I am really looking forward to moving on in the program....

Speaking of Rec. Management...one of the introductory classes to the major is 189 Careers in Recreations. I decided to tak this class a few weeks into the semester once I decided to declare my major, but more importantly drop sign language...hahaha I had a cast on at the time, and I figured considering I only had one hand available for use, it wasn't the smartest thing to take a class where you communicate with merely your hands! :] Needless to say, I am so happy that i decided to take RMYL 189...We took a week long trip to Rec. sites all over the west (St. George, Las Vegas, Del Mar, San Diego, Orange County, etc) This trip included a totally sweet day trip to Disneyland as well, where we got to do a little meet and greet with imagineers as well! I got to meet alot of entertaining people as well as explore many career options...LOVE IT.

Movies ( JUSTIN BIEBER MOVIE 3D), and fun galore with Sar Bear, Laurel and Alex.... :]]

And in Latest News....I a recently physical therapy graduate, for my little thumb! What a journey that was... After about Ten to twelve weeks of healing, therapy, etc...my little guy is back in action! It is amazing all your thumb allows you to do...I am grateful for my little thumb thumbs. :]

And along with being a survivor of therapy...I am proud to announce that I have survived the SNOW! I will admit to having many thoughts this semester about staying home from class, when I opened my blinds and saw snow falling like crazy...but I went anyway! This winter has just made me more than greatful for the sun, and being raised in a place, where I was hardly ever introduced to snow! The day spring arrived, I was and am a VERY HAPPY CAMPER. I worked at Campus Craft & Floral again this semester, and I really did love it! I have learned so much and made wonderful friends. I also experienced one of the craziest days of my life at work this semester...VALENTINES DAY. We started our preparations for the day at FOUR A.M. The men of BYU campus sure do owe us CC&F girls...hahaha. It was a total madhouse on Valentines day, with a line out the door at all times. But it sure was fun. After all I do love holidays so much and any chance I get to celebrate!

I have made the most wonderful friends this semester...we keep each other in line, laugh our guts out, and have way to much fun together. I really love them. We have done some really fun things this semester...including camping out all night in front of our desired housing complex for next year LIBERTY SQUARE in the negative weather...when we really didn't need to...I can't help but laugh when I think about it. All six of us. SQUISHED in a small tent. Bloated from our great idea of getting Mcdees for a nice middle of the night snack. The sides of our tent condesating. And just laughing from insanity when we finally realised how dumb what we just did was...anyways...WE got a contract right??

I was also able to cross of #132 on my bucketlist with them! HABITAT FOR HUMANITY. It was the blasty-est blast I have had doing service in a long time. We made good friends with our boss SIR. CRAIG. A memory I will never forget!

WE CACKLED. WE SPACKLED. WE SANDED. WE CONQUERED.

We preformed in our ward talent show this semester as well which is something I will never forget...we bought D.I. out of overalls and learned a dance from "Coach" Jacob Guest, that is awkwardly fantastic and simply was unexpected by our ward. We are quite proud of that performance...to the point where we would watch it 20 times in one day. Ever since then we have been in love with making music videos, etc. To much fun together...to much fun. Yes.

SEMESTER DOS ACCOMPLISHED.

well that was a mouthful...

M.M.

This taught me, in all aspects of my life to avoid acting "someday" but rather today. I love this video so much, as it encourages us to act now and the way by which we can return is service. I know that by serving those around us we can be restored to a sense of our divinity, and the divinity of all those around us. Serving others is one of the acts by which we can invite the spirit into our lives and the lives of others. It is a strange and marvelous occurrence, the feeling you can receive upon serving another. It is of the most rewarding and necessary things we can do. In all my actions I hope to serve my fellow men.

Spade.

FOSTER.
I have had to many discussions about Kate Spade lately not to blog about all of the lovely, simple, and delicate goodness brought into this world by her genius. When I googled the word "Feminine" a Kate Spade Add popped up right next to it in correlation to my search...I KID YOU NOT! Femininity is one thing I believe the world and all women could use a little more of. Yes I am of the most guilty of being a slacker in this area...but...we should embrace all things feminine! Merely glancing over things Kate Spade makes me beam with joy at the fact that i am a woman, and such creations are made in mind of the woman (which I am). :] Why yes, it is quite expensive...but quite the quality. Why pay so much, we all ask. But today my question is for all of us is, why not admire? We can take it as a bit of inspiration! These little beauties you find your eye-balls glazed over with amazment by, are called the FOSTER. Kate Spade made with just a pinch of old-school-feminine-nerd-tanstic-ness. Could I be anymore in love with such a pair of frames? I KNOW NOT! And actually the price on the little puppies are not to shabby for frames... by this I am beyond ecstatic. I hope to someday have these gracefully resting on the arc of my nose, and the cure to my absolutely (not)attractive full-face-scruntching eye squint. In honor of Kate Spade I do this. :]

Round One.

End of first semester done, say what? I can't believe how incredibly fast it went. I feel as though it was one of the most momentus and challenging transitions in my life thus far, and of course it continues on. And ya know what? I LOVE IT. Sometimes, I stop and think to myself, What the heck am I doing here? This is absolutely nutso. It's kinda surreal as I reflect on my current life, day to day, as I thought this time would never come or happen as such. And thats the thing it just happens. Not necessarily a warning comes with it. It just HAPPENS.

Coming to college is truly a time when you come to terms with exactly who you are and really rely on exactly what you believe every second of every day. There have been times this semester that have been incredibly difficult, and this may sound odd, but I have had to learn how to enjoy and love the difficult. Love the opportunity to pull myself out of those difficult challenges, Love the lessons I was taught, Love and grow closer with those around me during those challenges.

As of right now, I am sitting in the Harold B. Lee Library with my most diligent friend Rachel Udall, studying for finals. She is the most wonderful example to me, especially considering she is studying right now as I am blogging my little heart out...hahaha what you ya know...I got distracted. I am really hoping they go well and am super stoked for them. A hot date with the HBLL on Friday Night is whats up right now. Nerdy? YES. Fantastic? I THINK SO.

I can't wait for next semester as it holds many new learning experiences (including how to accept the snow into my life.) As of now I am still ignoring the lovely winter fastly approaching...why yes I did wear capris and sandals yesterday. You best believe it. I am super stoked for my classes, as they will hopefully help me to decide on a major and start jet-settin' towards the future. Ain't Life Wonderful. And as is the CHRISTmas season. It truly is a time we can reflect on our Savior and feel of his and our Fathers love greater than ever. Home in 6 dayss!

ding. Ding. Ding. Round 1 is just about finished. And I survived :]

DAY 4:

LACK-OF-FOCUS.

Exhibit A: Yes this was in the HBLL were normally people study...NOT I :]

This would be A HABIT I WISH I DIDN'T HAVE.

MM of the Week.

I love the message of this times ten thousand! This perspective towards life makes it so much easier to focus on eternal perspective and our wonderous purpose and plan for life, that if we remain faithful we can return in celestial glory to live with our Heavenly Father and Savior. Such a beautiful and happy plan is his, and so should we be! Mormon message of the week. :]
